10 Most Family-Friendly Countries To Visit

1. Orlando, Florida

My first choice- Orlando is a great place for large families.

What is not there?

It has everything from shopping malls to world-renowned restaurants to sites for sports events and plays.

Fulfill your kids’ childhood imaginable fantasy. Explore the theme parks like Hollywood Studios of Disney, as well as Animal Kingdom, Florida Universal Studios, Legoland, and SeaWorld Orlando, call this location home.

All tourists want decent behavior and affordable food. Luckily, you get everything in Orlando. You’ll be pleased by the warm hospitality of the hotels and services.

2. Toronto, Canada

Does your family like to have adventures? I suggest visiting Canada.

You will find a lot of activities suitable for children in Toronto.

Take in the city’s modern cityscape from atop the iconic CN Tower. Visit the Royal Ontario Museum to see real dinosaur bones.

Go through the Chinatown and Kensington Market. Guess what? window shopping is extremely fun there.

If you need a break from the bustle of Toronto, a boat journey to one of the nearby Toronto islands is the perfect relaxation.

3. Norway

My parents took me on a family trip to Germany and I had my first Haribo there. Since then I have had a serious European candy obsession.

My life changed drastically during my first trip to Norway with my family.

I’ve been all across Europe. However, the wonders of the Nordic countries felt very different. In a good way, of course.

I can honestly say that Italy, France, Germany, and the Netherlands pale in comparison. The list goes like– midnight sun, northern lights, polar bears, Nobel prizes, Scandinavians, and trolls.

Your children can discover a wide variety of activities and attractions to enjoy here. Norway is an excellent place for families to take a vacation with young children. It is very kid-friendly and has excellent daycare options.

If you like spending time outdoors, this country is especially a wonderful place for you. You may find peace in the outdoors within minutes of most major cities by using public transportation.

It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the northern lights at the autumn and spring equinoxes.

4. Gozo, Malta

I’ve always wondered why Malta, a bright Mediterranean island with enough things to do for kids, isn’t more of a hotspot for family vacations.

I’ve been to Malta twice and loved it so much that I learned to scuba dive there. Now, I want to take my kids there.

In Malta, there is fun for people of all ages, whether they are visiting for a quiet day at the shore or a family vacation. Smaller beaches, such as Paradise Bay and Armier, may be found towards the tip’s northern end.

There are waterparks available throughout the summer months, the Malta National Aquarium and BirdPark Malta, as well as diving for children above the age of eight.

If you’re a picky eater, don’t worry. There are lots of options nearby, including excellent Italian eateries serving up an abundance of pasta and pizza.

Pastizzi, cheese-filled pastry nibbles, and imaret, dates wrapped in pastry and deep-fried, are two examples of kid-friendly Maltese cuisine.

5. New York, USA

My other recommendation is the city never sleeps- New York. Children and adults of all ages will enjoy spending their vacation time in New York City.

You will be able to find everything you want in the thriving metropolis of New York.

This place is a melting point of many cultures. The iconic Empire, Rockefeller Plaza, Central Park, and Lady Liberty are just some of the town’s most famous landmarks and tourist destinations.

The annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, widely regarded as the biggest parade in the world, is an excellent occasion to visit New York City.

6. Colorado, USA

If your family loves nature, Colorado awaits you with its stunning natural beauty that spans the whole state. Right the way through the expansive grasslands in the continent’s middle to the gorgeous mountains in the western part of the state.

Those who like being outside will have lots of opportunities to go on vacation in this state. The state’s four different seasons and an average of 300 sunny days per year.

Discover the extraordinary biodiversity of the state’s fauna, as well as the state’s jaw-dropping natural beauty. Learn about the state’s rich cultural legacy.

There is always a perfect time to visit Colorado since it is always full of fantastic things to do and has lovely weather all year long.

7. Malaysia

I found Malaysia as an excellent family vacation destination.

There is a list of things like:

  • Kid-friendly beaches,
  • Cultural experiences,
  • Animal encounters,
  • Delicious cuisine, and
  • Other family-friendly activities.

Not the cheapest place to visit, I must say. However, it is still very affordable for family vacations because of its Southeast Asian location.

Eastern Malaysia and Peninsular Malaysia are the two separate halves of the nation of Malaysia.

A trip to any one of these places will be unlike any other. For adults and children, a trip to Malaysia, one of the world’s most ethnically and culturally diverse nations, offers exciting and instructive opportunities.

8. Cape Tribulation, Australia

Cape Tribulation is where the Great Barrier Reef and the rainforest meet, both of which are on the list of World Heritage Sites. I recently returned from a trip to Cape Tribulation, Queensland, and have implemented a comprehensive program of family-friendly activities.

To top it all off, many family-friendly activities in Cape Tribulation don’t even cost anything to enjoy!

A trip to Cape Tribulation is the perfect way to escape the city’s hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy some downtime. Even if it is not a location to have parties, there are a lot of exciting and entertaining activities that can be done there by both adults and children.

You can take a boat ride out to the reef, snorkeling, or hiking through the tropical rainforest.

9. Austria

Austria is consistently one of Europe’s most visited countries because it is a top tourist destination that can be enjoyed at any time of the year. People from neighboring countries like Germany go to the mountain areas to experience the Alpine region because of its stunning natural beauty.

The nation welcomes families with children, and you will find activities like snowboarding and hiking across the hills that can be enjoyed together. Also, you can reach tourist destinations quickly and easily by public transportation.

10. Croatia

Consider taking your children on vacation to Croatia if you are seeking a destination in Europe that is among the top destinations for family vacations. There aren’t many places in Europe that are more suited for a holiday with your family than Croatia, thanks to its intriguing history, breathtaking scenery, and magnificent beaches lining the Dalmatian coastline.

Croatia is well-known for its preserved culture and beautiful landscapes. Zagreb, the city’s laid-back capital, is home to some of the nation’s finest dining establishments, shopping malls, art galleries, and museums, among other attractions.

It is one of the safest nations to visit with kids, and you will find many attractions explicitly geared toward children. Beaches throughout the coast are great for windsurfing, waterskiing, and scuba diving, and the coastal towns are brimming with architecture from the Venetian period.

How to Determine the Ideal Location for Family Vacation

How did I manage all my previous trips with my kids? Here goes the method I’ve developed and followed over the last several years to ensure that my family and I always have an upcoming vacation planned. I really hope this information helps guide your future steps!

  • The ideal vacation looks highly different to every family. I always consider what I intend to derive from my upcoming journey.
  • With three little kids in my family, I consider logistics such as flight length, changes in time zone, transportation, etc.
  • I look forward to the best deals on flights, hotel rooms, and other travel opportunities.
  • I constantly update my desired destinations list and consult it whenever planning a trip.
  • Keep in mind my kids’ ages as well as stages.
  • Match up everything, including the entire family’s free time, weather, peak and off-peak season, crowds, and attractions to be open.

Conclusion

So, this was my list of the most family-friendly countries to visit. Experiencing new places would be one of the best things you can do. I hope that you found some ideas for planning a vacation with your family.

So, when are you packing your stuff for the trip? Best of luck!
