The word Powri means stairs and the place has more than 400 steps carved out of a rock face. The staircase leads to a point called the Dawariyai, which is also the take-off site for paragliding in the area. The stairs are believed to be carved by the former king of Chenani as a shortcut to the town of Batote. Biloo ki powri is a fine example of craftsmanship from an era when there was a lack of mechanical tools at the time when they were constructed. Due to extensive use over the years, the lower quarter of the staircase has all but eroded, leaving about only 270 recognizable steps. The steps are quite steep and resemble a ladder rather than a staircase. People climb this staircase to enjoy the view from the top as well.
