1. Gorumara National Park

2. Lepchakka Village

Located at a three and a half-hour drive from Lataguri, Lepchakka village is one of the most beautiful places in North Bengal. Located at a half an hour drive from Lataguri, Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary is another essential forest reserve located close to the town. When visiting Lataguri, then do not forget to visit Chapramari. Many believe it to be a part of Gorumara National Park, but it is not that. It is a separate wildlife sanctuary that has been in existence since 1895. You will be surprised to know that it is the oldest forest reserve in West Bengal. 6. Murti

Named after the mesmerizingly beautiful Murti river, Murti is a quaint, picturesque village located pretty close to Lataguri. This river meets the Jaldhaka river and flows through the entirety of Dooars. Murti’s total length is 80 km, and it is gorgeous. You will be shocked to know that in the 20th century the entire region was notorious for Dacoits. Most of the criminals used to enter Murti village by crossing the river. At that time, the area did not have much wildlife, but when the wilderness grew, the Dacoits stopped coming. When you visit Murti now, you will not get any ambience of its notorious past. Now, it is one of the most serene places in India.

As the river is primarily rainfed, the water is genuinely crystal-clear. It is one of the most picturesque sites in the entirety of Dooars. Many people go there at dawn to witness the majestic sunset on the backdrop of the river. But we would suggest that you go there at night.
