Nuranang Falls (Jung Falls)
Nuranang Falls (Bong Bong Falls) is approximately 100 meters high waterfalls in the Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh. This spectacular beauty is not a very popular destination, but its unmatched beauty is a delight to watch. These falls are situated at a distance of two kilometers from the Jang town on the road connecting Tawang and Bomdila, and this is why it is also called the Jung Falls. There is a Hydel Plant along the base of the falls to generate electricity for local use. The locals believe that both the Nuranang river and Nuranang falls were named after Nura, a Monpa girl from the local tribe and helped a soldier, Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat, in the 1962 Sino-Indian War; but was later captured by China.
