The Ujjayanta palace is now a museum, also known by the name Tripura State Museum. It was built by Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya, with construction initiated in 1899 and completed by 1901. Ujjayanta palace served as the meeting place for the Tripura Legislative Assembly until 2011, and now it is one of the most well-known tourist attractions in the state of Tripura.
