Independence Monument, Vlore, Albania: Dedicated to the declaration of independence of Albania (2024)

The independence monument is located about 154 km south on the west coast of the city of Tirana. The sculpture was built as a monument that was dedicated to the declaration of independence.

It was built in 1913, next to the Albanian Government building.

The independence monument includes a sculpture of Ismail Qrmali, who was the founder of the independent movement.

Most tourists take a day tour to visit Independence Monument, Muradie Mosque, Zvernec Monastery, and Kanine castle.

These four sites are located close to the town Vlora, located about 160 km south of Tirana.
