The Palace of Fine Arts is located about 1.8 miles east of The Golden Gate and 2.2 miles west from Fisherman’s Wharf. The Palace was built in 1915 for small private convention as well as place to host exhibition. The Palace is now used for concert, art exhibition and wedding ceremony. The Palace is surrounded by water lagoon. The Palace was built with a beautiful dome and curved columns. Visitors come to relax and enjoy the Palace atmosphere as well as surroundings.

Several films shooting have been done here at The Palace of Fine Arts. The Palace has hosted several art exhibits since great depression and world war II. The Palace of Fine Arts was completely demolished in 1964 and rebuild same as original Palace by 1974. The palace was restored again in 2003 by City of San Francisco in partnership with Maybeck Foundation.
