Valdemars Castle: Popular Tourist Attraction in Denmark (2024)
Valdemars Castle is about 70 km southwest of Odense in Denmark. The castle was built in 1644 by King Christian IV, under the supervision of architect Hans van Stenwinkel. Later after few years, the castle was taken over by Niels Juel and it still belongs to this family. Baron Iuel-Brockdorff, who is 11th generation of the Juel family, is the present owner and lives in the castle with his wife and family.
Valdemars Castle in Denmark has been open for the public to view since 1974. The castle is closed during winter time and opens from June to September. Visitors enjoy the walk to the sea and coffee at the coffee shop, after spending a couple of hours at the Valdemars castle in Denmark.
