Anafiotika Neighborhoods: Scenic Town of Athens with Acropolis Mountain On The Backside (2024)
The Anafiotika is the section of Athens located adjacent to the city of the Plaka. The Anafiotika is more scenic and has Acropolis mountain on the backside. The houses were built by workers for their families. These workers came from the island of Anafi to build a palace for the King. The families of these construction workers, plumber, and carpenter lived in this town.
In the beginning, most people who lived here were from Cyclidic island but later migrants from Asia came and built a house and lived in Anafiotika, Athens. Most houses built are identical to typical Cycladic architecture. The houses are cubical in shape and small in area.
