The Great Market Hall in central Budapest has located about 3 km from the Parliament building. The market was built in 1897 under the direction of Hungarian architect Samu Pecz. The market is located close to all the attractions of Budapest and closes to the hotel district. The market is visited by a large number of visitors and few locals, The locals often find it difficult to do the shopping for groceries and other objects in the middle of tourist.
The market has various stalls of seafood, meat, fruits, and vegetables. The market also has all other objects that are often needed at home. The market place is safe but one must be careful with wallet and purse.
