9. Buda Castle Hill Funicular

Buda Castle Hill Funicular is a train linking Adam Clark Square and Budapest castle that is located at the top of the castle hill. The train goes up and down the castle hill for a fee. The train was open to transport people in 1870 and operated by Budapest municipality.

There are two tracks and two cabin cars travel together up and down. Each cabin car capacity is 24 individuals. The travel distance is 95 meters and the height of the hill is 51 meters. The cars are pulled by electricity and it takes less than 2 minutes to complete the one-way trip. Image Source
